Speaking of Liuyang specialty products, Liuyang fireworks are of course indispensable. Liuyang fireworks have formed an indissoluble bond with ancient Chinese folk customs. In traditional festivals, people all set off fireworks and firecrackers for celebration. Fireworks must also be set off during various sacrificial celebrations.

What many young people don’t know is that the country attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritage. On May 20, 2006, Liuyang fireworks making skills were approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists, project number: Ⅷ -86. In 2009, the Ministry of Culture of China recognized Zhong Ziqi as the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project (Liuyang fireworks making skills).

The production of Liuyang fireworks uses traditional manual techniques, using locally sourced soil paper, soil nitrate, sulfur, charcoal, and red and white clay as raw materials for processing. There are a total of 12 processes and 72 processes. The cumbersome process and complicated procedures demonstrate the wisdom of the working people in ancient China. An excellent culture cannot blindly embrace the incompleteness. With the development of modern science and technology, fireworks people have successfully developed safe and environmentally friendly micro-smoke fireworks products and intelligent, mechanized, and automated production equipment, and have reached the world's leading level. The method of setting off is also changed from traditional manual ignition to computer-controlled ignition.

Since 1998, Liuyang has started the modernization and standardization of factory transformation, and introduced a series of fireworks and firecracker standard systems. The fireworks industry has realized the three revolutions of "materials, craftsmanship, and environmental protection". It is precisely because of the innovative spirit of the fireworks people that the perfect grafting of traditional art and modern civilization has enabled the craftsmanship of Liuyang fireworks to survive in the torrent of time.

Fireworks are not only about chemistry, but also culture and art. The firework maker is a special painter who uses the sky as drawing paper, colorful fireworks as paints, and skill as brushes. This is the charm of fireworks.

It is worth mentioning that "Changsha Ingenuity" has been broadcast simultaneously on Changsha TV and Changsha subway and bus. In addition to the craftsmanship of Liuyang fireworks and fireworks, Liuyang chrysanthemum stone carving craftsmanship, a national intangible cultural heritage project, also appeared in the video, which made many people feel the charm of intangible cultural heritage and also showed that intangible cultural heritage is being integrated into our modern life.

Intangible cultural heritage is a testimony of historical development and also a precious cultural resource. Protecting the intangible cultural heritage is not only of great significance to promoting the development and prosperity of our country's culture, but also has made great contributions to the promotion of national culture, the continuation of Chinese cultural heritage, and the development of human civilization. This is of great significance for both the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage.
